Hi,
I feel like I’m on stage so please be patient with me until I understand how this newsletter thing works. First, I’m beyond grateful you are here and secondly, you will not regret your sign up click :)
Shall we?
I started this NL because you asked me “What’s the secret?”; “What did you do to grow?”; “Any advice?”; “Can you take a look at my profile and tell me what’s wrong about it??”
There are many subjects to discuss and I’ll split them into weeks, to not overwhelm you.
Our first subject is VIRAL POSTS.
I have 2 viral posts, let’s analyse them.
First one.

There is no 1 secret. There is a MIX of secrets.
The format has an easy readability, so there are high chances you’ll read it all.
It does not have em dashes or emojis. (If emojis are part of your style, use them, just not like ChatGPT does, people will skip without even reading)
It’s written with AI but you can’t tell (thanks Brewbrand)
Has a good hook (everyone is curious about why my boss sent me home).
The tone is personal, honest, inspirational like “I want that too”
Uses storytelling, which is one of the most effective copywriting techniques.
It’s relatable for many. Many of us are overworked.
The photo is not like all the rest on the feed, I look sad, I look vulnerable. Combined with the hook, people would think “What did you do so bad that he sent you home…and you look so sad…spill the tea”
Has a happy ending but I don’t think that matters. If it would have been a sad ending, people would have left comment like “run, run for your life”
Next:
We can identify patterns and confirm theories now (this post continues to grow, it is 2 days old and still bring followers, website visits, etc) :

Again, the format, very easy for my busy brain
No em dashes, emojis* (the same mention as above, it’s ok to use emojis under certain conditions)
Brewbrand wrote it from my idea. It took me 10 minutes total. Mostly to write my idea.
Has a hook that follows the bridge structure (where I was 1 year ago and where I am today)
The style: very personal, honest, very inspirational (people might think “wow, I wonder where I will be one year from now”)
It’s also storytelling, but on 2x speed. Without details because I don’t think talking about all the 4 hours sleep night have their purpose here.
Again, very relatable. A lot of us struggled and still struggle. I still struggle, 4 customers means 100 euros and we are a team of four :))))). The post just shows the evolution.
It offers concrete data. 1k website visitors, 100 users, 4 customers.
Address a pain (not having a LinkedIn structure) and offers genuine help.
End with a challenge that transmits you I am confident I can give you value.
The photo reflects the bridge hook in a visual format.
Now, there is 1 hack I did that I will only share with you because you are the first to join.
I will also make a YouTube video about viral posts but will not share this hack. 😈 (see, this emoji here is ok. If I made the list above with 👉🏼 instead of numbers, no-no)
The hack: after the post took off, I think it had around 80-100 reactions, I edited it and added my website link where it had sense. The first version only had the link to my Calendly.
Why:
I knew LinkedIn would not sabotage my post anymore because it was hot already.
As I promised, your weekly to-do list:
1. From now on, use an easy-to-read format.
2. Write one story post this week. (Something using the bridge structure, or something so interesting that you would read top to bottom and would write a comment)
3. Tie your story to LinkedIn DNA (I’ll make a newsletter in detail about LinkedIn’s DNA because this one is already long enough, but shortly, LinkedIn started as a platform where people hire and get hired). My 2 viral posts were around these topics (hiring, good/bad bosses, management).
4. Add numbers if you can.
5. Engage after you post, leave a comment, comment on other’s posts.
6. The hook is very important for people to press “see more”. Mines were generated by Brewbrand so you might as well try it.
7. Add a personal photo but not so personal like Instagram personal.
This is it.
As I want this to be our Sunday dialogue over coffee, reply with any questions and opinions and I’d be super happy to know what you want to talk about the next Sunday.
Oh and very important ending note:
Many of you here, are here because I was consistent, not viral and I showed my personality.
I’ll be there for you…when your post only gets 12 likes ‘cause it happens to me tooooooo. (F.R.I.E.N.D.S.)
